Seven In The Evening
Fort St Elmo, Valletta
From the moment we first met at a friend's gathering in Valletta, we knew there was something extraordinary between us. What started as a chance encounter blossomed into a love story neither of us could have imagined — one written in late-night conversations and stolen glances across a candlelit terrace. In the weeks that followed, we found ourselves drawn together by a quiet magnetism neither of us could explain. Long walks along the seafront, lazy Sunday mornings at the market, and hours lost in bookshops became the rituals that shaped us. Every ordinary moment felt charged with something rare and luminous. Travelling together sealed it. From the narrow streets of Mdina to a spontaneous weekend in Florence, we discovered that we moved through the world the same way — curious, unhurried, and always hungry for the next beautiful thing. It was somewhere between a Sicilian sunset and a missed train that Brandon knew he was home. Back in Valletta, life wove us even closer. We argued over which restaurant made the better rabbit stew, built a small library of shared books with dog-eared pages, and learned the particular silence that only two people who truly know each other can share. Sofia's laughter became the sound Brandon most wanted to hear at the end of every day. The proposal came on a still September evening on the Barrakka Gardens, the harbour blazing gold below us. Brandon had rehearsed something eloquent for weeks, but the moment Sofia turned to him he simply said, 'I don't want to do any of this without you.' She said yes before he could remember the rest. Now, surrounded by everyone who has loved and shaped us, we step into marriage with full hearts. This day is a celebration of every serendipitous choice that led us here — and a promise to keep choosing each other for all the days still to come.
